Bitcoin Price

The post Why is Bitcoin Price Up Today? appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News

Bitcoin price is currently trading in green, hovering near the $91k levels. The bulls rallied to $92,596 before hitting reverse. Bitcoin has surged by about $30,000 since October, showing strong growth, especially in the past two weeks. However, in recent days, the price rise has slowed, leaving many wondering if this signals a slowdown, a correction, or continued growth.

However, in an important update, MicroStrategy, led by Michael Saylor, has been buying Bitcoin for over four years, and today they added another 51,780 BTC, bringing their total holdings to around 331,200 BTC. This is part of their broader strategy to build a Bitcoin treasury, using equity and fixed income to raise $42 billion over the next three years, mostly to buy more Bitcoin. This might actually serve as a catalyst for BTC price.

Bitcoin Price Analysis:

Bitcoin is mostly moving sideways, while recording smaller gains. It looks like it’s forming a triangle pattern, but it’s still unclear. The main point to watch is the micro support area. As long as Bitcoin stays above this, we could see one more push higher, possibly reaching between $95k and $97k. If Bitcoin drops below that support level, the next key area to watch would be around $85k.

For now, Bitcoin’s sideways movement is actually good for altcoins, which tend to perform better when Bitcoin is either rising or falling. So, while Bitcoin stays range-bound, altcoins could continue to see volatility.

In terms of Bitcoin’s chart, it’s struggling near a trendline resistance, which could be a key factor in why it’s not pushing higher just yet. This resistance could signal a potential pullback, but there’s also a chance Bitcoin could move higher before that happens. In the long term, we might see Bitcoin continue to struggle with this resistance around $95k–$97k, but overall, the market is just in a sideways phase right now.

Bitcoin Surges to $93k

The post Why is Bitcoin Price Up Today? appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News

Bitcoin is up by more than four percent in the past 24 hours and  is trading above $91,000 levels. Majority of the top 10 coins are also printing gains, with the anticipation for altcoin season gaining traction.

The largest cryptocurrency has recently found a local bottom and is now showing signs of bouncing back to higher levels. After a period of uncertainty, the market appears ready for a reversal. The drop that many feared could continue lower seems to have bottomed out, with a potential rise ahead. Experts are closely watching key levels as Bitcoin looks set to push upwards, possibly targeting new highs.

Bitcoin had faced significant downward pressure, but as the price dipped, it reached a level where the market sentiment shifted. This often signals a local bottom, a point from which prices tend to rise as traders begin to accumulate. Bitcoin’s ability to hold above critical support levels, such as $85,000 and $90,000, might explain why the price is still rising.

The potential impact of U.S. policy changes under former President Donald Trump, who has hinted at eliminating capital gains tax on crypto could also be acting as a catalyst for the BTC price. If such a policy were passed, it could drive capital inflows into Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, further fueling the market’s growth in the coming months.

Conclusion:

As of now, Bitcoin is testing resistance near $93,000, with many expecting a break above $100,000 in the coming weeks. The next target for Bitcoin is likely to be the $100,000 mark, a key psychological level that could trigger further buying interest.

Looking at Bitcoin’s technical, indicators like the Relative Strength Index (RSI) are signaling that the asset is currently in overbought territory. The RSI recently reached an extreme level of 83, similar to levels seen back in March 2024, just before a major correction

Bitcoin Price Reaches New High

The post Why is Bitcoin Price Up Today? appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News

After breaking the $80,000 barrier on Monday, Bitcoin soared to nearly $90,000 by Tuesday, marking a historic achievement. In fact, Bitcoin’s market capitalization has now surpassed that of all above-ground silver. If Bitcoin can push higher, the next target zone is between $92,000 and $95,000.

The exact target will depend on how the price behaves in the coming days. Institutional interest in Bitcoin has also been on the rise. This growing interest from institutional investors is expected to further support Bitcoin’s price in the coming months

Analyst Rekt Capital has pointed out some initial rejection of Bitcoin around the $90,000 level. It seems that there are still some traders who believe selling Bitcoin at this price is a smart move. However, Rekt Capital suggests that these sellers may soon reconsider their stance, implying that the current dip could be temporary and that the broader bullish trend for Bitcoin is likely to continue.

But Why is Bitcoin Soaring?

Bitcoin’s recent price increase is being closely tied to market expectations surrounding the Trump administration’s potential pro-crypto stance. Many key members of Trump’s team have openly supported cryptocurrency, and this support could lead to clearer regulations and more favorable policies for the industry..

The market is hopeful that Trump’s policies on tax cuts, healthcare spending, and labor markets will strengthen the overall economy. This general sense of optimism about the administration’s economic approach is driving positive market sentiment.

Another factor is a growing belief that the Trump administration will implement clearer and more favorable regulations for the cryptocurrency industry. Currently, the U.S. crypto landscape is fragmented, with different states having their own rules.

Investors are hoping for federal-level clarity on whether agencies like the SEC or CFTC will take the lead in regulating the industry. Clearer regulations could lead to greater acceptance of crypto by large banks, which would, in turn, boost the price of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Price

The post Why is Bitcoin Price Up Today? appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News

Bitcoin’s market saw a quick recovery today following a period of bearish trading near $65,000. The market cap surged to $1.3 trillion, marking a notable 24-hour gain of almost 1.5%. As BTC prices jumped from a low of $65,000 to surpass $66,400, the sudden increase left many investors wondering about the reasons behind this turnaround and whether Bitcoin’s recovery will continue.

MicroStrategy Adds More Bitcoin

MicroStrategy, a software company listed on Nasdaq and the largest corporate holder of bitcoin (BTC), announced today that it has purchased an additional 11,931 BTC for $786 million.

Led by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, the company had already amassed 214,400 bitcoins by the end of April. With this latest purchase, MicroStrategy now holds a total of 226,331 bitcoins, valued at nearly $15 billion.

This growing investment in Bitcoin boosted buying pressure and played a key role in initiating today’s price recovery rally.

Australia’s First Bitcoin ETF Launches on ASX

Australia’s largest stock exchange launched its first spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund (ETF) today, responding to increasing global demand for convenient cryptocurrency investments. The VanEck Bitcoin ETF (VBTC) debuted on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), which commands 90% of the country’s equity market. The exchange greenlit the ETF listing earlier in the week.

VBTC opened at A$20.06 ($13.4) and climbed 1% throughout the day, closing with 99,791 shares traded. This ETF operates as a feeder fund, offering exposure to Bitcoin through investments in the company’s Bitcoin Trust (HODL), a U.S.-listed ETF on Cboe.

Bitcoin’s growing acceptance globally, from Hong Kong to the US and now Australia, has raised the institutional interest in accumulating BTC. This surge in demand has contributed to today’s price rebound.

Bitcoin Faces Whale Accumulation

Recent ups and downs in Bitcoin’s price have presented an opportunity for large BTC holders. Many investors capitalize on market decline to maximize their profits by strategically buying assets. With this sentiment in mind, and considering the bullish long-term view on Bitcoin’s price, numerous smart whales view the recent downturn as a chance to buy in.

According to blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain, a whale recently bought an impressive $395 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC). Previously, during the 2022 bear market, this whale had acquired $794 million worth of Bitcoin.

By selling 37,000 BTC at an average price of $46,800 between 2023 and 2024, the whale generated over $1 billion ($1.74 billion). This marks the first purchase by this whale in 1.5 years.

The whale’s recent acquisition of Bitcoin near its dip indicates a strong support level for the asset. This accumulation has also boosted other investors’ confidence, driven by the whale’s track record, leading to increased buying interest.

Traders Remain in Fear Amid $65K Consolidation

With prices hovering between $65,000 and $66,000, bears are strongly defending a strong surge. As a result, they pushed the price toward $64.5K in recent minutes, triggering 1.3% decline in one hour.

Recent data shows a highly negative sentiment among the crowd towards BTC, marking a fourth straight week of fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD).

With increasing FUD surrounding BTC, we may witness ongoing selling pressure around the $66K mark until Bitcoin achieves a clear breakout.

Following the news of Bitcoin spot ETF entering a short eight-day window that would allow all twelve applications to be approved at once, the crypto market experienced a significant move in its value. Bitcoin price has successfully breached the $36,000 mark, indicating a strong bullish influence in the market.

James Seyffart, a well-known analyst with substantial followers over 49K on the “X” platform, has recently posted by covering the ongoing situation in the industry.

The analyst states there is still a 90% chance of approving the spot Bitcoin ETF by 10 January 2024, including Grayscales Bitcoin “GBTC.” Even if the approvals don’t arrive this month, there is a high chance of it getting approved in the near future, states the analyst.

Following the news of the Blackrock spot ETF application, the industry gathered major traction, resulting in the market experiencing increased price volatility in recent times.

Bitcoin Price Analysis:

The BTC price was seen trading in a closed space between $26,558.10 and $28,000 for a brief period, following which the market gained momentum and the price of Bitcoin crossed the key resistance level of $28,000 for the first time since June.

After trading sideways for about a week, the price regained momentum and broke out of multiple resistance levels until it was rejected at the important level of $35,000.

The market leader, Bitcoin, was then seen trading sideways for over two weeks until the price regained momentum recently and broke out of its resistance level at $36,000. It is preparing to test the upper resistance level of $37,000, of which the outcome is uncertain.

Bitcoin Price Analysis
TradingView: BTC/USDT

The MACD has displayed significant price volatility recently, indicating a massive ongoing price action for the star crypto. Further, the chart shows a rising green histogram, suggesting the price will continue gaining value in the coming days.

If the bulls continue to gain power, the BTC price will prepare itself and make a run to test its resistance level of $37,033.37 soon. Maintaining the price at that level will set the stage for the market to attempt to test its upper resistance level of $38,082.91 in the coming weeks.

Conversely, if the bears overpowered the BTC bulls, the price would lose momentum and fall to test its support level of $36,000. Moreover, if the bears continue to dominate the market, it will continue to lose value and test its lower support level of $35,000 this month.
