The 2024 summer Olympics are underway in Paris, and several notable athletes have had their names turned into tokens and traded on the open market. On Tuesday, Turkish nonchalant shooter Yusuf Dikec took the stage and earned his country a silver medal–and then went viral for his noticeably casual vibe.
Degens took note, and 12 different DIKEC tokens appeared on Dexscreener. Described as “cool turkish hitman,” market capitalizations range from a few thousand dollars to $393,000. The longest standing DIKEC token now trades for $0.0002 after soaring to $0.0008. Another shooter, Kim Ye-Ji from South Korea, also inspired degens, who promptly created the YEJI token.
