The High Court in Montenegro has rejected an appeal by Terra founder Do Kwon against a four-month prison sentence for falsifying documents. Kwon and fellow Terra executive Han Chang-Joon were arrested in March 2022, nearly a year after the collapse of their crypto enterprise, Terraform Labs. The sentence, handed down by a lower court in June, is seen as an “adequate” punishment for the crime committed, according to a statement from the Basic Court of Montenegro’s capital, Podgorica. Kwon faces extradition to South Korea or the US once his sentence is complete. Both men have remained in custody since their arrest.
