The post Fidelity has submitted a proposal to the SEC for an ETF! appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News
Fidelity has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to create an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that will own Ethereum’s cryptocurrency, ETH. The proposed ETF, named the Fidelity Ethereum Fund, would be listed on an exchange owned by Cboe Global Markets. This move comes after BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, announced its intention to create a similar ETF earlier this month. Both Fidelity and BlackRock have also applied to create ETFs that will provide investors with easier access to bitcoin (BTC). The SEC has yet to make a decision on any of these proposed ETFs.
