The post Avi Eisenberg’s Mango Markets Trial has been Postponed to 2024! appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News
Crypto trader Avi Eisenberg, accused of commodities manipulation and wire fraud in relation to the alleged exploit of decentralized crypto exchange Mango Markets, will not stand trial until April 8, 2024, following a delay requested by his lawyers due to the complexity of the case and Eisenberg’s changing detention circumstances. While the trial was initially moving quickly, the move to a more restrictive detention center hampered the defense’s ability to prepare, leading the judge to agree to the postponement. The case is being brought in the Southern District of New York, where just this week the conviction of Sam Bankman-Fried was secured in less than a year.
